About Stacey

Stacey is an entrepreneur, social worker, mental health professional, and life-long writer. She works as a mental health therapist focusing on treating trauma, including religious trauma; late diagnosed ADHD and autism; and anxiety. She owns and runs her solo therapy private practice, Inspired Happiness Therapy, LLC, which is located in Ridgeland Misssissippi. She earned a Master of Social Work from Jackson State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Services from Belhaven University. She has completed post-graduate training in EMDR and IFS for EMDR therapists.

In addition to her private practice, Stacey owns the holistic wellness service Kaya Holistic Wellness, LLC which will be opening in fall 2025. Kaya will focus on providing alternative health services to people and their animal companions (pets.) Stacey is currently training in Soul Level Animal Communication with Danielle MacKinnon. She is trained in Usui Reiki 1 & 2, and will be completing her Reiki master training in summer 2025. considers herself to be “spiritual not religious” after many years of healing from an evangelical Christian upbringing, which inspired her interest in treating religious trauma. She also owns a tie dye business, 3 Short Dogs, to share her fabric art. 10% of the profits from 3 Short Dogs Tie Dye are donated to animal related charities.

Stacey was late-diagnosed with ADHD in her 40s, which made her lifelong struggles with clutter and hyperfocusing on hobbies make a lot more sense. She created the Uncluttering blog to chronicle her 2025 no buy and home decluttering project. Her latest over the top hobby is creating a snow village that replicates the fictional town of Stars Hollow, CT from the television show Gilmore Girls. Stars Hollow Snow Village has an Instagram and YouTube Channel so people can follow along.

She was born in Washington D.C. but grew up in Mississippi. She currently resides in central Mississippi with her longtime partner & spouse Jon and their 3 very spoiled dogs. Stacey identifies as queer and is neurodivergent. She is a pescatarian and animal lover. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and tending her garden and houseplants. She is also a tattoo enthusiast, a lover of crystals, and a big fan of podcasts. She has a deep appreciation for all music, having trained in Suzuki piano from age 6-17 and guitar from age 15, both of which she has since lapsed from practicing. Most often, you will find her listening to metalcore.
